Holiday Gift Ideas for Me

1. Dreamfarm

Dreamfarm makes the best kitchen tools and gadgets. I got to try out the Spadle and Holey Spadle and am now obsessed with everything they make! For instance, the Spadle is designed in a way that it never touches the counter and also twists to convert from a spoon into a ladle… genius! Check out their whole collection and do someone (or yourself) a favor and upgrade your kitchen tools.

2. Smart Lighting for the Home

smartlighting

We love home automation and smart lights can be fun, especially during the holidays. The ability to change bulb colors to fit a holiday mood have proved to be a bonus during this time of year. Lights are something that we use every day so why not upgrade? See our more comprehensive reviews of LIFX and Philips Hue to help guide your decision. While you’re at it, check out and pick yourself up a Flic smart button.

3. Bear Pillow

Bear website

Momma bear needs her sleep! After a couple of weeks, I’m a believer in the Bear Pillow. It has a firm feel but still allows your head to sink in just a little bit to put your neck in a comfortable position. I’ve always had trouble with waking up with sore shoulders and arms but the Bear Mattress has almost eliminated that feeling. The older we get, the more we value good sleep products… and this is one of them! We’re due for a new mattress next year and I’ll definitely consider one from Bear.

  • Intuitively contours to your sleep position, supporting the natural curves of your head, neck and spine
  • The perfect cool and dry climate while you sleep
  • Dual mesh side panels for continuous airflow throughout your sleep
  • Hypoallergenic and antimicrobial protection
4. Parker Clay

Parker Clay website

A few years ago, I bought one of the first Parker Clay bags ever made and I constantly visit the site to see their newest additions. These bags are made in Ethiopia with leather sourced from Ethiopia. With each product, they are partnering with the non-profit Women at Risk in giving back to help more women in Ethiopia realize their potential and to empower them. Woman at Risk has been helping women in Ethiopia for over 18 years through rehabilitation, counseling, and skills training. 94% of the women that have completed their program have stayed out of the commercial sex industry.

5. Fujifilm INSTAX SHARE SP-2 Smart Phone Printer

We love to break out this photo printer for trips or holidays. The quality and speed of the SP-2 is way better compared to our older model. For many years, I’ve used these type of printers for international trips as they are equipped with a rechargeable battery for printing on the go.

6. meori

For bigger families like ours, staying organized on car trips (short or long) are difficult. meori offers a variety of foldable boxes to store anything you can think of. We love the ability to pack up snacks before a car ride. Of course the snacks are gone in five minutes, so we just fold the box and put it in the pocket behind the car seat.

7. Leeo Smart Alert Smoke/CO Remote Alarm

I’ve always thought smoke alarms served their purpose but what about when I’m away from the house? We’ve never had a traditional alarm system which forces us to depend on our neighbors to make an emergency call if needed. Leeo is a cheap ($50) solution that listens for your smoke, carbon monoxide, and water/flood alarms and notifies you through the Leeo app. We’ve yet to be alerted but now we have that peace of mind and can easily call our neighbors and/or 911 if something were to ever happen. Bonus: as pictured above, Leeo acts as a cool nightlight.

8. Brooklinen (Bedding + More)brooklinenthrowBrooklinen website

I’ve already expressed my love for Brooklinen’s sheets here. Looks like they have added high-quality cashmere, lamb’s wool and alpaca blankets along with clean-burning candles that are poured by hand in Brooklyn, NY. Yes, please.
