To Uganda with Love (October 21, 2011)

I am freshly home from my last trip to Uganda for the year. I’m just so in love with that country. Uganda breaks my heart, but that makes me love it even more. We had the chance to visit a baby home in addition to the usual orphan ministry we do there.  The picture above is a three month old triplet.  One of the three didn’t make it so it was so precious to snuggle with this sweet little girl. She was so alert and loved making eye contact.  I was more than happy to oblige.  The happy little guys below welcomed us when we arrived and were attempting to nap as we left.  Amazing little spirits.

We spent most of our days doing medical evaluations and treating kids.  We also ran an HIV test for each child.  Praise God, not a single positive.

Here is a tiny little slide show from Bed/Bible day.  We were able to partner with Sweet Sleep to provide our kids with new beds and Lifeway helped us out with Bibles.  The kids immediately opened their Bibles and began to read out loud.  The sweetest sound I’ve ever heard.
