Whoa.. a new post after a long hiatus

The last couple of weeks have been spent World Changing and celebrating mile stones in the nature of first birthdays. Calvin also attended the Southern Baptist Convention in Orlando sans family and I managed to get locked out of the house (and car!) with the kids on the hottest day of the summer yet. World Changers was a success as usual, when 250 kids give a week of their summer to work on homes and minister and no one falls off the roof, it is always an achievement of great proportions. Coordinating the project tired me out though, I forgot how to manage on 3 hours of sleep a night! Okay, so now that we are all acquainted and caught up again I can move on to blogging about what this blog is about.

We have finally emerged from the paperwork phase. Dossier is going out and we are a waiting family! Now we just wait and pray and pray and wait for a referral. We also fund raise like crazy. We still have a long way to go but there have been some recent blessings that I will blog about soon. A garage sale will also be held in our honor this weekend in Charleston, SC. Please join us in praying for a huge success and beautiful weather. If you are in the Charleston area and would like to support us with a “stuff” donation to the garage sale please contact Gwen (gmcqueen@sc.rr.com) and she will gladly find time to take anything off your hands! Once again, we love and appreciate you all for reading and journeying with us.
